Cathryn Woods

Cathryn Woods from San Gabriel had two jobs, one at a clothing store and the other at a computer software company. All this changed on November 12, 2005 when she won $1,000,000 on The Big Spin show. Ms Woods told the illinois state lottery, “This is unbelievable! Now I can afford to quit one of my jobs!” Ms. Woods plans to use her winnings to buy a house and to take a well deserved vacation.

Amber McKinney

Amber McKinney was a part-time college student, and clerk at a gas station/convenience store. She was someone who never thought she would win $1,000,000. 1st September, 2005, was a day just like any other day for Amber. As she tidied up the counters around the store she noticed that one of The Next Millionaire Scratchers was hanging out of the dispenser. Rather than just letting it hang there, she purchased the ticket and scratched the winning numbers section. When she ran the ticket through the scanner, it said, “Exceeds store limit.” Not believing that this was real scandal, Amber took the ticket to her manager who told her, “This is real. You won!” How will Amber celebrate? She plans to buy a car and go to college as a regular student.

John Baldwin

When John Baldwin took his position alongside the wheel on The Big Spin show, he had no plans for how much he should, or could, win. He was just happy to be there. Within moments, all that changed as John Baldwin became the Big Spin’s first $1 million winner for the year 2006.
John Baldwin considers himself an entrepreneur and inventor, owning and operating a business with his stepson in the City of Sutter. It had already been a great year for Baldwin as his company; he had just sold his latest invention, a new type of fishing net, to the People’s Republic of China state, when his wife uncovered SPIN-SPIN-SPIN on one of the six Big Spin Scratchers he had purchased that day. “I knew something was up when she started making noise as she scratched the tickets,” Baldwin said, “I just can’t believe this happened.”
Baldwin, who has been married for two years, plans to put his prize to good use. He’s going to help his two stepson’s buy new homes, and more importantly, spoil his wife and grandchildren.

Jose Hernandez

Jose Hernandez, a truck driver from Bakersfield won $1,000,000 on The Big Spin show and said, “I’m totally shocked! I didn’t expect to win this much money!” Hernandez will use his prize to buy a house and to open a small business.
